Under the Sea~
Friday, August 30, 2013 | Posted by Janice | 0 comment/s
So, D and I went to the S.E.A Aquarium a few weeks back. When I say a few weeks back, it means June. That period I just had my hair cut, hence the short fringe. Also my round face... sigh.

Before that, we went to King Louise, at Vivo City! D was actually being all secretive about it... So I didn't know that we're coming here until I see the place!

Decorations with a theme from middle ages. Really interesting concept. The whole place is really pretty!

love. :)

We ordered their set lunches there, which are pretty affordable. The mushroom soup is good! Their servings are huge as well. We actually shared our meals with each other, so we can try both beef and fish!

From the pictures, you can tell that the food is delicious.

We decided to walk into Sentosa via the Sentosa Broadwalk, to walk off our heavy lunch, and also to enjoy a short stroll. Mainly to save money though. The admission tickets though the monorail express is getting ridiculous. >.<

Pardon our tired faces. haha.

AND... INTO THE AQUARIUM WE GO~

Honestly, if we didn't get our tickets at a discounted price, I really doubt I would go. The crowd there is HORRIBLE. Tons of tourists... especially kids, running around. Being in the tunnel actually makes me feel claustrophobic! I went on a weekday, so I totally can't imagine the crowd on a weekend!

There's just so many people around, and the noise is just... unbearable. Doesn't help that the volume of their voice multiplies in the tunnel. zzzz.

This octopus is HUGE.

The cutest Jellyfish ever! :) small and bobbing around...

Our favourite part of the Aquarium would be the largest viewing panel in the world.... Initially, I read online that there would be beanbags for us to just sit there and just stare at the fishes. When we were there, I didn't see any though. Probably because there're just simply too many people, too little beanbags, so they just decided to take it away for the day. :(

D and I were contented just to be able to sit down there and stare at the stingray... and the schools of small fish.

After the trip to the Aquarium, we went to this ramen place in City Hall (I think) called:

Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King

The set-up and the ramen there is pretty authentic tasting.. Not like those that are from Ajisen... Ramen is easily one of my favourite food. I have constant (like weekly) cravings for Ramen, and am always on the lookout for better ramen.

They had this grinders for us to grind the sesame seeds! Supposedly we should add those grind seeds to our soup base. The sesame seed helps in enhancing the aroma of the soup... I think.

This is D happily grinding the sesame seeds. HEEHEE so cute.
HAPPY PEOPLE WAITING FOR OUR RAMEN. DID I MENTION I MEGA LOVE RAMEN?

TADAAAA. SUPER SHIOK.

Blogging about all this good food at this time makes me hungry. >.<
